Qmee Pro-Tips from someone who made $178 off it in the last 3 weeks

Here’s what /u/peppertoni_pizzaz has to say about it:

With the recent influx of posts about qmee going down the drain and people struggling to even make pennies off of it, I wanted to share a bit of hope. Is this the best survey app in the world? Probably not. Can you still make cash from it? Hell yeah. Some of these tips I've already seen posted on here, but many I have not, and regardless I thought for the newbies it would be nice to have them all in one post, nice n concise. hereeeee we go

  1. Getting a lot of late declines? Look for the grey dot! See where the time estimate is at on the survey? Now look to the left; is there a grey dot next to it with a little white "i" inside? If not, you should probably skip it. The little grey dot is what you want- it means that other people have taken and completed the survey, and you'll have a far higher success rate this way. No grey dot means there weren't enough surveyors who completed it to provide an estimate. That's a red flag and implies that there's a lot of late declines. That's not to say I haven't been paid from surveys without the grey dot, but it's a risk. Avoiding these surveys helps you avoid that risk.
  2. If there's no grey dot next to the time estimate, it's likely going to take far longer than it says it will: trust me, been there. I've done my fair share of surveys that were "only" 5 minutes and took more like 20-25 and disqualified me at the very end.
  3. The best time to do surveys: it seems to be weekday mornings and late afternoon/evenings. Monday morning this week I made about $20 in 2 hours. I'll have to see if that's a trend, but anecdotally, Monday seems like a pretty decent day of the week.
  4. Don't use the app: I personally prefer to do surveys on my laptop, but if you want to use your phone, forgo the app and use the browser version. The app is glitchy.
  5. The politics topic rarely has declines: I have had almost 100% success rate with the politics surveys (no declines personally) and they usually go by pretty fast (7-10 minutes, although I've had some take me as little as 3). They're redundant and many ask the same questions. For the sake of our democracy though please be honest on these questions!
  6. Finding hints as to what the survey is about: pretty much every pre-screening for qmee surveys is gonna ask you "do you or any of your family members work in any of the following industries?" the list of industries doesn't seem to change much. Get familiar with what the "standard" profession options are (i.e market research, advertising, entertainment industry) and then start looking for outliers. Example: yesterday, mixed in w/ all the generic industry options, I something about children's toy manufacturing. We got ourselves an outlier! And lo and behold, the survey was about children's toys. Learning how to spot the outlier on this question can give you a hint to the nature of the survey and help you avoid giving disqualifying answers.
  7. pay attention to "have you ever heard of one of the following?" lists: they like to throw in fake companies in there, and if you say you've heard of it, they'll disqualify you.
  8. be consistent with your answers! being inconsistent with details like your age, number of kids, profession, etc. will end up being more of a pain in the ass than it's worth, as you'll get more surveys you don't qualify for and qmee might catch on.
  9. unless you have an actual health condition, the "health" topics rarely pay out. I have one medical condition so I check them out once in a while but I've only ever qualified for one. I know they're higher-paying and tempting to click on but in my experience it's been more of a waste of time.
  10. The quicker the survey, the better. Under 10 minutes is the sweet spot. Under 5 minutes is the jackpot spot: remember, we're talking about the surveys that have the time verified with that little grey dot! Any surveys 9 minutes or less often take a bit less time than they claim to, if you're fast. Anything five minutes or less is probably gonna take you 2-3. On the other hand, if a survey says it'll take 25 minutes… that's gonna be a whole thing. Avoid.

That's all I got y'all. I'm sure I missed some, and this is based on my experiences and demographic info so YMMV, but friends I've talked to who follow these tips have had success too.

Best of luck out there and feel free to add tips to the comments or correct me if I'm wrong about anything ❤
